From an early age, Jina narrated life through poems, short stories, skits, letters, and journals. After college, her passion for serving marginalized youth led her to a career in the non-profit space. For over a decade, she developed and ran after-school programs aimed at improving outcomes for youth from under-resourced communities. Meanwhile, Jina continued to develop herself as a writer, engaging with various courses, workshops, and occasional writing gigs

In 2011, Jina received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction Writing from the Solstice MFA Program at Pine Manor College. Since then, she has built a diverse portfolio of writing and editing experience including writing for various docu-series, editing independent manuscripts, and composing professional training presentations, grant proposals, marketing materials, and more.
